Once Upon a Card is a multiplayer online
deckbuilding game made with unity.
School Project made with Unity where I was Project Manager, Programer and Animator.
This game is a Slay the spire like but playable by 4 or fewer players on a same run.
As a deckbuilding game, you will draft cards at the start of the game and at the end of each combats but here, the multiplayer have a strong impact: when you have to draft somthing, other player can pick it before you.
The additionnal feature that we add on Once upon a card is the Traitor. At the start of each game, each player will have an alliegeance between Loyal or Traitor. There can be only one unique Traitor but there also can be no one.
All the game is design to push the suspicion and treason. Cards you played have an accuracy statistic, but the accuracy of Once Upon a Card tells "you miss, so you will play this card on another random target" and that without informing other players you have missed your card.
Even without any Traitor, players can suspect and kill others !
Apart from combats, the game has events that will ask players to vote or do anonymous actions like during the campfire. During those events you can for example manage your deck or impact others players by destroying cards or dealing damage. Actions are communicating to every players, whitout revealing the one who executes the action.

In fact, Once Upon a Card push a lot social interaction, with a well balance mix between a DeckBuilding game and a Werewolf of millers hollow.
